The halo vehicle for Nissan's expanding range of bold crossovers
and SUVs, the bold new Murano design projects a sense of refined intensity,
creating an immediate "wow" response.
"Nissan dealers have been clamoring for the new
Murano ever since the design was previewed in the futuristic Nissan Resonance
Concept," said Derrick Hatami, vice president, Sales - U.S., Nissan North
America, Inc. "Now that Murano has arrived in their showrooms, there's
another great reason to celebrate the holiday season."
The 2015 Murano is offered in four trim levels – S, SV, SL and
Platinum – and in a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The starting
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the Murano S FWD is $29,560
USD, while the top-of-the-line Murano Platinum AWD is priced at $40,600 USD
(full pricing is available at NissanNews.com).
Every 2015 Murano comes with a standard 260-horsepower
3.5-liter DOHC V6 connected to an advanced Xtronic transmission. Fuel economy
has increased 20 percent for combined mpg from the previous generation and is
rated at 21/28/24 mpg city/highway/combined for both front-wheel drive and
all-wheel drive models.
Murano's new magnetic exterior design includes its dramatic
V-motion front end, LED boomerang lights and the unique floating roof – which
utilizes prominent glass areas and D-pillars that appear disconnected from the
roof that help visually lighten the cabin appearance. The sleek, aerodynamic
styling offers a low coefficient of drag of just 0.31, without compromising
cargo or passenger space. LED Signature lights and LED taillights are standard
on all 2015 Murano models.
The breakthrough exterior design carries into the interior,
which offers an engaging social lounge feel through features such as the
refined instrument panel, low center console, advanced Zero Gravity front and
outboard rear seating, and the airy atmosphere created by the large windows and
oversized Power Panoramic Moonroof.
The Murano interior offers best-in-class** total
interior volume of 147.7 cubic feet and best-in-class cargo** volume (with
seats up) of 39.6 cubic feet.
